This post is sort of continuation of my last year entry about Everyday face and skin care routine. But this time I want to tell you more about my makeup routine; I know many of you are so well equipped and trained and you don’t need more than 10 minutes to get ready for your busy day. Unfortunately that’s not me. It takes me hour, sometimes even hour and a half to get ready.
I should start from the beginning and I will describe my usual day (not the day when I have time for small home spa treatments).
After quick morning shower, starts the routine. Since last years I changed my skin care habits towards more eco. However I still use Clinique 3- step cleansing set for combination to oily skin and I added Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher from Estee Lauder as my so-called cream primer.
And now we move towards kitchen, coffee is ready , towel is off my head and it’s time to apply my new addition to skin regimen; I started using Enchanted eye cream from Lush and Hydrating Nectar from Sanoflore, I should mention that I don’t really like how it smell, but never had better moisturizer.
Although, I might come back to my favorite “cucumber-y” Day Wear from Estee Lauder, apparently it’s getting warmer and I don’t need heavy layers of creams.
Keep moving, and here comes the time of magic. Make up. Since I started using BB cream by Skin79 I forgot about primers and makeup bases, this magic cream, does its job so well. Ok, done with foundation, time for the brows (I intentionally skipped the part when I use tweezers, but don’t worry I have no unibrows) again something new in my makeup box; The Brow Express Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills, great brush and great colors…but doubtful stencils, don’t use them at all.
Let’s move on, time for Makeup Forever HD Powder it really does setting the foundation and matting the skin without changing its natural contours. I’m not sure if I use right order when applying makeup, after using finishing powder I apply my blush. Depending on season it varies from dark copper to pinky peach and as a finishing touch I use my precious Meteorites Perles by Guerlain and voila I’m ready. Ah, almost forgot, I always wear mascara; for now I’m using Estee Lauder’s Sumptuous Extreme in black.
You are probably wondering how come I spent so much time to do all that things, actually that part of my daily makeup routine doesn’t take much time, but I’ve skipped the part where I fight with my hair. I will tell you about that next time.
And what about you? What’s your makeup routine? Does it take a lot of time?
